Resilient Lady Nov 2025

Virgin Voyages Resilient Lady

Cayman Coves & Jamaican Waterfalls

Nov 22 – 29, 2025

This was our third sailing with Virgin Voyages and first time on the Resilient Lady.  We got poke bowls at Sun Club Cafe as soon as we boarded the ship on embarkation day on our last voyage.  We loved them so much we decided to make this our new tradition.  Delicious food on deck out in the sun instead of a crowded galley is definitely my vibe.

Splash of Romance package adds many perks that we love.  My favorite is the day they have splash of romance cocktail hour held at the Perch.  Sitting in the back of the ship with sparkling rose listening to live music was more enjoyable than hanging out at Richards Rooftop.  We were Rockstars on our last voyage and this area had happy hour every day but no live music.  Robert’s favorite perk is the early embarkation time.  I also really loved the treats left in our room.  Other benefits are daily fresh pressed juice, a bottle of champagne, and a three hour thermal spa pass.

Highlight of this Cruise

Another Rose was the best experience.  It was not included so there was an extra charge but very much worth it.  We were greeted with a cocktail and then shown to our seats.  There are different levels of seating but they all cost the same.  The front row tables need to move for the stage areas to be changed.  We chose floor seats so we could stay seated the entire time.  The show was high energy and very entertaining.  The food was delicious.  You are served specialty cocktails that go with the show and all the sparkling rose you can drink.  Service was next level.  Glasses were never empty.  This will be a must anytime we are on a ship with this dinner show.

Food

I was right on the 45 day out mark to book reservations as I did our past 2 cruises.  We like to eat early and catch the first show so we had reservations every night.  What I learned on this cruise that I never realized before is there are Galley specials.  Some of the dinner specials had me tempted to change our plans. The only way to know what those specials are is to either wait for the app notification or pick up Your Day at a Glance paper.  These are available at the coffee shops and at the Chart room on deck 7.  I’ve never had anything on a Virgin ship that tasted bad so you can’t go wrong no matter what you choose.

Galley dishes we enjoyed.

Pink Agave has delicious Mexican food and it is my goal to eventually try everything on the menu that isn’t too spicy for me.  Carolina, our server, assisted me with my choices by explaining the spice levels and advised me on dishes that wouldn’t be too spicy for my taste.

Extra Virgin always leaves us full and happy.

The Wake has an upscale feel so we like to dress up when we dine there for dinner.  The steaks have always been cooked to perfection.

Razzle Dazzle brunch and dinner options are vegetarian friendly but they also have naughty items for those who prefer meat.

Test Kitchen is a dining experience that I really enjoy.  We did the drink pairings with mine being the cocktails and Robert’s being the non-alcoholic drinks.  The drinks really complement the food.

Gunbae is a lot of fun.  The tables sit 8 people so you get to meet new friends while playing drinking games.  Natasha was our server.  She was outgoing and provided us with an exceptional experience.

The Pizza Place serves great pizza.  I went with pepperoni pizza this cruise.

Entertainment

We try to make it to all the shows but there isn’t usually enough time to do everything.  We saw Persephone on the first night.  This is a show where you stand and the performers move around the room performing.  The acrobatics are amazing.  Lola’s Library was held in the Manor.  Lola and cast guide you through their book collection using songs, dancing, and acrobatics.  We really enjoyed this one.  Miss Behave wasn’t for me but others seem to enjoy it.  It is a unique game show where the room is split into 2 teams that compete against each other for points.

Activities

Rice Rice Baby sushi class filled up on our last voyage so I booked it as soon as we boarded the ship.  Rohan and Jake the Foodie taught us how to make sushi.  They guarantee you won’t fail.  I was not successful at past attempts but true to their word I pulled this off with their help.  We got to eat the sushi and the poke bowl we made.  This was a very tasty experience.

Time spent with the Happenings Cast at their events is always a party.  We attended several of their events and had a lot of fun.  Trenton the Charmer was mind blowing.  I still can’t figure out how he did it.  I really don’t want to know though because that would ruin the fun.  Morning Mind Benders and Salty Trivia at the Social Club were enjoyable activities.

Scarlet Night is a shipwide party not to be missed.  It begins with dancing in the roundabout followed by the hostess telling the octopus story in the Red Room.  The Red Room performance usually has 2 different time slots so everyone has a chance to eat dinner and see it.  The Pool Party is the big event.  The Happenings Cast performs around the pool and then invites sailors to dance with them in the pool.  We made it through most of the pool party but we don’t stay up late so we didn’t make it to the after party which takes place in the Manor.

Cabin

Central Sea Terrace Cabin number: 13270A Deck 13 for this sailing. First I love that they have deck 13.  It is my lucky number and I don’t know why other cruise lines skip this.  As soon as we entered our cabin I noticed the blanket in the shape of a heart.  I loved this exciting welcome.  Vee was our very friendly cabin host that did an amazing job.

Ports of Call

We did a Safari Truck excursion in Ocho Rios. We toured areas of Jamaica and then hiked Dunn’s River Falls.  This was an amazing once in a lifetime experience.  Once in a lifetime because I’m proud I made it through and don’t feel the need to do it again.  I feel it would be nearly impossible to get through it without a guide.  I slipped a lot so thankfully we had the best guide.  His name was Kayon and was there to keep you from getting hurt.

We didn’t book an excursion in the Cayman Islands.  We spent our time exploring George Town shopping.  We even came across a little outdoor market that resembled a farmers market.  This market had handcrafted items and food items for sale.

The sea got too stormy for us to dock in Bimini so we didn’t make it to their beach club.  We had been before so we had planned to stay on board and use our 3 hour spa pass.

Every sailing with Virgin has been a different adventure.  This sailing was spent playing games and hanging out in the Social Club more.  We had so much fun that we booked our next sailing before we left the ship.
